Living By The Four Agreements

In the best-selling “The Four Accords,” Don Miguel Ruiz, based on Toltec`s ancient wisdom, gives four principles they can practice to create love and happiness in your life. The adoption and commission of these agreements is simple. When they read the wisdom of Don Miguel, many people have their eyes open to a new possibility of life. Only 1% of the world`s population lives. So, positive thinking??? love.??? kindness??? And don`t live with the drama. That means you control your own dystany.:) At the end of the day, I think it is important that his agreements have the consequences you want. Thank you, Allan, for sharing your wisdom. I am honored that someone of your stature would take the time to read my article and clarify the importance of the agreements. There is a simple mnemonic device to remember these chords: iPad. We have to break many old arrangements and change a lot of domesticated beliefs to really keep a space for someone who hurts us or who is angry without judging to withdraw, defend, accuse, intellectualize, share their dream. I also found it strange to judge a book about the behavior of a person who claims to have read it and about the elderly who are the ancestors of the author of the book. That is why I did not respond to Cccc`s comment. If the commentator explains why he/she thought the four chords meant that people were behaving ruthlessly and selfishly, I might have received an answer.

As things stand, I disagree with the idea that –Toltec or not — these principles are a healthy lifestyle and correspond to good practices supported by modern psychology: these four agreements are at odds with most of the agreements you have learned in your life. You will help break the program code in your mind, but they must be practiced, and the only way to do so is to focus your attention. Focus on the agreement you want to change and use the power of your intention to enter into a new agreement that you will not believe in the old agreement. If you do not believe something, you accept that it is not true, and you do not learn that agreement. Don Miguel refers to people who decide to accept the four chords and create love and happiness in their lives as spiritual warriors. It`s spiritual because it`s about living your life. It is also called war because you question the old beliefs, based on fear, in your mind. It will take more than a week and a half to free ourselves from the fear, tyranny of the inner judge and old emotional habits. There will be some lost battles along the way, but this is of secondary importance in the longer term strategy to create happiness in your life.
